So I was sitting on my bed and looking through my 3DS eShop, until I suddenly saw a *Nintendo Direct* video.
It was marked as ‘New’ and since I had plenty of time to kill AND I was also absolutely thrilled about watching something on my new handheld console, I went for it.
While watching I took some notes and figured I could share these with you and give you a brief summary of what went on in the video and what my thoughts are.

# My Opinions #
There are a lot of games that didn’t personally phase me, because they were either some sort of remake (*Wind Waker HD*) or just simply because they are somewhat intangible for me, due to not “being” into the franchise (e.g. *Pikmin*). By the way, I am not saying that it’s because the games are bad. It’s more just because I never was led into trying them.
There were specifically 2 titles I digged though:
*Art Academy* and *Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney*.
The unfortunate thing is, that I personally don’t have a Wii U, so the *Art Academy* will be put on the back burner for a while; but I DO know and enjoy the *Phoenix Wright* series. I have never played any *Professor Layton* games, but from what they showed on the trailer, it looked pretty neat, since you are apparently supposed to solve puzzles in the middle of your cases; puzzles that seem to have a bit more “complexity” than if it were just a normal *Phoenix Wright* title.
SinceI really love “playing detective”, I will probably pick this up sometime.
Besides these games, I was also somewhat intrigued by the cool figurines you can use for *Pokémon Rumble U*. From what I saw it works almost like in the *Skylanders* games (Which is yet another franchise I would like to acquire sometime soon, when I have the chance and resources). Though, since – as I said – I lack a Wii U, this will have to wait also.
*New Super Luigi Bros. U* seems neat, because the focus is on the taller of the two Mario Bros. for once in a platformer (Without it being some sort of wannabe-title where you have to find your missing brother ); though I must say that I am not a “Mario Bros. Fan”, hence why I will probably not specifically pick it up and rather go play it at a friend’s house, much like *Super Mario Bros. 3* or *Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon*.
With that being said, I am not a fan of the handheld “Mario RPG” series at all, so I am probably gonna skip on that one and since I haven’t been a fan of ANY games outside of the original 3 *Sonic* games on Sega, I will gladly hold off on that as well.
What is left to say is, that I definitely love the *Animal Crossing: New Leaf* game and I am hoping that I’ll be able to download that pumpkin pie present on August 11th.
I really wish they would have brought that “Mii Plaza” for *ACNL* to the 3DS though, as opposed to keeping it on Wii U only; but if the rumors I heard are true, it might actually happen. Who knows.
